The Art Circle Project Jameson McShane

The artist · the machine · the circle

About

Jameson McShane is an artist in Omaha, Nebraska, working with halos, broken circles, and the sacred within the ordinary.

01 · The beginning

A circle that never closes.

Jameson falls asleep each night in the same bed but never in the same position. That private, unconscious ritual became the seed of the Art Circle: a form repeated, never quite closed, never twice identical.

The circle appears as a halo, a broken ring, or a glowing form. It moves between ordinary subjects — a dog, a leaking bucket, a suburban field — and images of devotion and power.

02 · The process

Prompt, revise, choose.

The images develop through multiple prompts and iterations in DALL·E and other generative AI systems. Jameson directs the work through selection and revision, returning to the circle across different subjects and compositions.

Communion of Saints · 2025

Communion of Saints began as a painting idea, developed by deconstructing elements from numerous Old Master paintings. Through successive prompts and iterations, Jameson arrived at the final image. He chose it for its simplicity.
