The Break A white circle on black, split clean by a jagged crack that runs from top to bottom. On either side, abstract rectangular forms drift apart — separated, but still recognizable as having once been whole. The grain of the image gives it the texture of something old, something found, something that has already been through it. This is a painting about rupture.
